We're going to focus solely on the safety features of the Hyundai Accent in this article. You'll learn about the active safety features, the passive safety features, and even the safety technology. By learning about the different safety features equipped with the Hyundai Accent, you'll be able to determine if offers enough protection for you and your passengers.

Hyundai Accent Active Safety Features

The Hyundai Accent is equipped with a four-wheel anti-lock braking system that features different braking systems to help aid you in emergency situations. The Vehicle Stability Management system utilizes Electronic Stability Control and the Traction Control System during a loss of traction. These systems will apply brake pressure to the slipping wheel while sending more torque to the wheels with more traction to help you regain control and remain on your path.

This sedan also features Electronic Brake-force Distribution. This system will vary the amount of brake pressure that's applied to both the front and rear wheels to provide you with more control during emergency braking. The Brake Assist system will recognize frantic braking and it will help by increasing brake pressure to help the vehicle stop.

Passive Safety Features

This sedan features front and rear crumple zones. This design implementation helps during a collision by absorbing the force of the collision while dispersing it away from the passengers inside the cabin. As for interior protection, the Hyundai Accent features advanced airbags for the front passengers. These airbags will adjust their inflation pressure depending upon the severity of impact as to not overinflate and cause airbag-related injuries. The Hyundai Accent also features driver and front passenger seat-mounted side-impact airbags that will provide sufficient protection in the event of a side crash.

Safety Technology

The Hyundai Accent features a few helpful safety technology systems like the Occupant Classification System. This feature senses when a passenger is in the seat so it knows to deploy the airbag in the event of an impact. If the seat is empty, and an impact occurs, the airbag won't inflate.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System is a helpful feature to have when traveling. This system utilizes sensors on the wheel well to detect a drop in air pressure. This system will notify you via a dashboard light when you're low on air and require a fill up.
